Insurance Coverage Associate

Base Salary: $180,000 - $200,000

Position Overview
The Insurance Coverage Associate will play a crucial role in advising clients on insurance coverage matters, conducting coverage analysis, and assisting with claims handling. This position aims to ensure compliance with insurance laws and regulations while providing expert legal guidance to clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough coverage analysis to assess the applicability of insurance policies in various situations.
  • Assist clients with claims handling processes, ensuring timely and effective resolution of issues.
  • Provide legal advice on insurance law, regulatory compliance, and risk management practices.
  • Prepare legal documents and correspondence, including contracts and coverage opinions.
  • Engage in negotiation with insurance carriers to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
  • Assist in litigation matters related to insurance claims, including trial preparation and strategy development.
  • Review contracts and insurance policies to identify potential coverage issues or disputes.
  • Offer client counseling on best practices related to insurance coverage and risk management.

Qualifications

  • Jurisdictional admission to practice law with a focus on insurance law.
  • Strong understanding of coverage analysis and claims handling procedures.
  • 5+ years experience of insurance coverage experience.
  • Excellent negotiation and legal writing skills.
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance as it pertains to insurance.
  • Demonstrated ability in client counseling and relationship management.
  • Proficient in risk management strategies related to insurance coverage.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
