A respected regional law firm with a national presence is seeking a motivated Construction Litigation Attorney to join its Houston office. This is an excellent opportunity for a junior to mid-level attorney with experience-or a strong interest-in construction defect litigation and the construction industry. The firm offers a collaborative environment, hands-on mentorship, and the opportunity to work on complex, high-stakes matters from day one.

Position Overview

We are looking for an attorney with at least 1 year of experience in construction defect litigation or a demonstrated connection to or interest in the construction industry. The ideal candidate will be eager to grow their litigation skills, manage case files, and contribute to a dynamic team focused on delivering exceptional results for clients in the construction sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in managing construction litigation matters from inception through resolution
  • Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and legal correspondence
  • Conduct legal research and case analysis
  • Participate in client communications and case strategy discussions
  • Support senior attorneys in depositions, hearings, and trial preparation
  • Maintain accurate timekeeping and billing records
  • Stay informed on developments in construction law and related regulations

Qualifications

  • J.D. from an accredited law school
  • Licensed and in good standing with the Texas Bar
  • Experience or strong interest in construction defect litigation or the construction industry
  • Excellent legal writing, research, and analytical skills
  • Familiarity with construction contracts, defect claims, or industry standards
