Established (100+ Years) Industry Leader Seeking Maintenance Electrician for Steel Mill in Cayce, SC
An established (100+ years) global metals manufacturer is seeking a Maintenance Electrician to support its steel mill operations in Cayce, SC. This hands-on role is responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting high-voltage and low-voltage systems across heavy industrial equipment. The position follows a rotating shift schedule and offers highly competitive starting pay.

Starting wage: $38.00-$39.00 per hour, based on experience

Qualifications:
3+ years of experience as a maintenance or industrial electrician in a manufacturing environment
Skilled in troubleshooting 480V 3-phase systems, AC/DC motors, and motor control circuits
Experience with PLCs, HMIs, and variable frequency drives (VFDs)
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical documents
Working knowledge of NFPA 70E and industrial safety procedures
High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree preferred
Responsibilities:
Perform electrical maintenance and repair on production and support equipment
Troubleshoot and resolve electrical malfunctions on motors, drives, and control systems
Support shift operations by responding quickly to downtime events
Perform scheduled preventive maintenance tasks to reduce unplanned outages
Install new wiring and electrical components according to code
Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used
Follow all plant safety protocols, including lockout/tagout and PPE requirements
