An established (100+ years) law firm with offices in Towson, MD is seeking an experienced Civil Litigation Attorney to join its team. The firm specializes in corporate, transactional, litigation, and insurance matters, providing comprehensive legal services to clients across various industries. This role is essential for handling complex litigation cases, representing clients in court, and driving successful legal outcomes in a collaborative and professional environment.
Offer:
$110,000 - $140,000 annual base salary, dependent on experience and qualifications, with performance-based bonuses

Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and active Maryland Bar membership
Three or more years of civil litigation experience, including trial preparation, motion practice, and client advocacy
Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills with proficiency in case management software
Ability to manage multiple cases, meet deadlines, and work collaboratively with colleagues and clients
Willingness to participate in firm-sponsored events and contribute to business development initiatives
Responsibilities:
Represent clients in civil litigation matters, including contract disputes, business litigation, and insurance defense
Draft pleadings, motions, and legal memoranda while conducting thorough legal research
Prepare cases for trial, including witness preparation, evidence review, and courtroom strategy development
Negotiate settlements and advocate for clients in mediation and arbitration proceedings
Maintain accurate case files, track deadlines, and ensure compliance with court procedures
